ADO-AWAYE: OBA FOLALAKANMI, THE ALADO OF ADO-AWAYE'S EIGHT YEARS OF SWIFT AND INCREDIBLE  PROGRESS AND DEVELOPMENT 

 KABIYESI ALADO OF ADO AWAYE, HRM Oba Ademola Olugbile Folakanmi, Makuledoye, Asoludero 1, has declared to mark his 8th meritorious years anniversary on the throne of his forefathers with a week long crusade titled  "ASE WOLI NINU ILU" slated to hold between 15th -- 21st May 2025 as contained in a release signed by the royal father himself and a copy of which was made available to kakaki Okeogun online media via his principal secretary, Prince Niyi Okunade. The release further stated two additional groundbreaking programmes of progress and development that have been

designed to mark the 8th years anniversary which include youths empowerment and 1000 trees

plantation sponsored by the duo of NEO LIFE ORGANISATION and LAPO MICRO FINANCE BANK to make it more unique.

According to the release, His Royal Majesty who is the host prophet has invited the band of prophets to prayerfully heal the land and prophetically declared the land open for unity, peace, progress, development and also for individual advancement.

Oba Folakanmi also declared his intention to deeply appreciate the individual and group moral, spiritual and financial support towards the success of the whole program and he prayed for all indigenes and friends of Ado-Awaye at home and in diaspora that the new year ahead would bring unprecedented progress and development to the individual lives and the community at large.

He also concluded in the release by  praying in his capacity as the prescribed authority in Araromi LCDA for all the neighboring towns and villages and for the Council of Obas and Chiefs in the area, members of Iseyin Local Government Traditional Council under the leadership of HRM.Oba Sefiu Olawale Oyebola,Adeyeri  111,Ajirotutu 1, the Aseyin of Iseyin Land,  members of Oke Ogun Council of Obas and Chiefs, the newly installed Alaafin of Oyo and most particularly the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Oluseyi Makinde.

    His Royal Majesty Oba Rev'd Ademola Olugbile Folakanmi seized the opportunity to invite the general  public especially, sons and daughters and friends of Ado Awaye and her neighboring settlements under ARAROMI LOCAL COUNCIL DEVELOPMENT AREA  to the crusade slated to holds from 15th-21st May, 2025.

The programme which features

 salvation, power of unity, sacrifice of peace, fire prayers, prophetic declaration, community deliverance, healing & miracles will be ministered by highly placed anointed men of God amongst whom are:

* His Majesty's Achievements of Progress And Development 

1) He inaugurated Iyake festival and has successfully run 4 editions every November from 2021 to date.

2) He supported the Oyo State government in the promotion of Iyake lake tourism site in Ado Awaye to gain global recognition.

3) He was honored with the dedication of Unity hall of the National Museum Alesinloye Ibadan as Alado of Ado Awaye hall and also received many awards in tourism industry.

4) He facilitated and registered Araromi Cattle Market ( kara) at Ado Awaye which is still in operation till date.

5) Through Iyake festival, kabiyesi facilitated the construction of over 480 steps both in the front and back view of Ado mountain to ease hiking for visitors. 

6) He singlehandedly started the construction of a modern residential palace at Oke Odo and the project is still in progress.

7) Ado Awaye being as agricultural area, Oba Folakanmi facilitated the registration of Araromi Mutual Farmers CICS Corporation with the 

CAC Abuja towards placing his people on national recognition in agricultural sector and has also inaugurated Araromi Community Farm Settlement Scheme to support his people.

8) Alado awarded recognized personalities in Ado Awaye with honorary Chieftaincy titles and Post humorous award of services.

9) Kabiyesi Alado has also decided to educate his people by writing some books since his emergence as Alado of Ado Awaye including 

* Iyake Suspended Lake, the Pride of Africa 

* The Best of Oyo State Tourism Destination dedicated to the Executive Governor of Oyo State,Engr Seyi Makinde 

* The Tales of Ado Awaye (still under the press).

* 10) His reign witnessed the construction of one of the 6 regional Model Police Divisional Office in Nigeria sited in Ado Awaye and also the Amotekun Squared.

* 11) He will be celebrating his 8 years anniversary with a week long crusade packaged with an empowerment program and planting of 1000 trees in Ado Awaye ( aforestation) with the dua of NEOLIFE and LAPO organisations respectively.

Brief History of The Establishment of Ado

Obakoyi the son of Alaafin Oluaso and the step brother of Alaafin Onigbogi founded Ile Ado in 1500 AD. When things were not going on well at Oyo, Alaafin Ofinran sent for Alado through Arugba Ifa who came to Oyo-Ile to initiate Alaafin Ofinran and the Oyo empire into the rites, mystery and worship of Ifa. 

Therefore, Alado has three dimensional relationship with Alaafin: son, step brother and ifa Lord  

    Oba Folakanmi is the 13th Alado of Ado Awaye and he came to the throne on 21st May, 2017, this year making his 8th year on the throne of his fathers.
