He affirmed his governorship ambition saying that he was out to lead Oyo State and that he would never forget such ambition that would liberate his own people, the good people of Okeogun in particular and Oyo State in general.
While speaking to the publisher of kakaki Okeogun Online Media Publisher, Adebisi Yekeen, he said after due consultations, the unanimous decision was to shelve the governorship ambition for now for the sake of future and present political atmosphere in the state.
He further said that for him to shelve the governorship ambition now would not stop Okeogun man from becoming governor of Oyo State in the closest and nearest future.
Col. Gbenga as popular called at home in Okeogun is a man of his own people who have sacrificed so much to better the lives of many across the state.
