The remarks were contained in a statement posted on Onyia’s official page.
According to the statement, Onyia claimed he had advised the university management to disband the group and investigate allegations surrounding its activities before the incident.
“Man O’ War beat a student to death at FUTO yesterday.
I warned the university about their brutal activities in the school and advised the management to disband them and launch an investigation.
They ignored it. Now a student is dead.
Shame on Prof. Nnenna Oti.
The blood is on your hands for your complacency,” the statement read.
