Frontline Governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress in Oyo State, Dr. Adewale Kolapo Kareem (AKK) has directed his supporters to vote massively for Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli ahead of tomorrow’s primary election.
AKK announced the decision on Wednesday after what he described as a “deeply emotional and highly critical consultative meeting” with members of his campaign structure, ward coordinators, local government leaders, and political associates across the state.
According to him, the decision followed directives and a consensus arrangement reached by the leadership of the APC at both the national and state levels in favour of Senator Alli as the party’s consensus candidate.
“We have always maintained that the party remains supreme, and this is an organisational ideology I have consistently preached throughout my years in public life,” AKK said.
He noted that although the decision was difficult, it became necessary in the interest of unity and the collective future of the party in Oyo State.
“Having laid bare these reflections, we have come to a difficult, yet undeniably pragmatic and statesmanlike conclusion to fully abide by the party’s decision and endorse Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli ahead of the primary election holding tomorrow,” he stated.
Describing the move as “a supreme sacrifice for progress,” AKK praised Alli as “a proven hand and a brilliant mind” with the humility and leadership qualities needed to move the state forward.
“I am explicitly instructing and rallying every single one of my supporters across the nooks and crannies of Oyo State to cast their votes overwhelmingly and absolutely for Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli,” he declared.
AKK further assured supporters that his political structure remained intact and mobilised, adding that his team would fully deploy its “human resources, structural might, and campaign assets” to secure victory for Alli at the primary and in the 2027 governorship election.
