LET OKE-OGUN TASTE GOVERNORSHIP IN OYO STATE 2027: A CALL FOR FAIRNESS AND EQUITY.
As we approach the 2027 gubernatorial elections in Oyo State, it is imperative that we recognize the need for fairness and equity in the distribution of political power. For too long, the people of Oke-Ogun have been marginalized and
excluded from the highest office in the state. Despite our region's impressive array of competent sons and daughters, none have been given the opportunity to serve as governor since 1999.
This is not for lack of trying. Oke-Ogun has consistently produced exceptional leaders who have excelled in various fields, including academia, politics, and the professions. Our people have served with distinction in various capacities, including as deputy governors, ministers, and commissioners. However, the highest office in the state has eluded us.
We believe that it is time for Oke-Ogun to take its rightful place at the helm of Oyo State's governance. We have a plethora of talented and experienced individuals who possess the requisite skills and expertise to lead the state effectively. Some notable examples include:
- *Barr. Adebayo Lawal*: A seasoned administrator and lawyer who has served as Deputy Governor.
- *Hon. Shina Abiola Peller*: A charismatic and visionary leader who has represented Oke-Ogun in the National Assembly.
- *Engr. Rauf Olaniyan*: A distinguished engineer and administrator who has served as Deputy Governor.
- *Prof. Adeolu*: A renowned academic and expert in his field who has made significant contributions to the development of Oyo State.
- *Hammed Raji SAN*: A respected lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria who has served the state in various capacities.
- - *Sen. Hosea Ayoola Agboola Halleluyah*: A distinguished senator and respected leader in Oke-Ogun.
- *Rtd. Chief Justice of Nigeria Ariwoola*: A renowned jurist and eminent personality in the Nigerian judiciary.
- *Hon. Barr. Shittu Adebayo*: A seasoned lawyer, former minister, and accomplished politician.
- *Hon. AMellow*: A charismatic and dedicated public servant and politician
- *Hon. Adeleke Adebayo Moses*: A visionary leader and passionate advocate for Oke-Ogun's development.

- *Hon. Olayoade Zacheus*: A dedicated public servant and passionate advocate for Oke-Ogun's interests.
- *Hon. Beullah*: A charismatic leader and committed representative of Oke-Ogun.
These individuals, among many others, demonstrate the depth of talent and expertise that Oke-Ogun has to offer. We believe that it is time for one of our own to occupy the governor's seat and bring about the much-needed development and progress to our state.
We urge our brothers and sisters from other zones in Oyo State to join us in this quest for fairness and equity. Let us work together to ensure that the next governor of Oyo State is from Oke-Ogun. We are confident that our people have the capacity to deliver good governance and take our state to greater heights.
Together, we can make this happen. Let us unite and demand that Oke-Ogun be given its rightful place in the governance of Oyo State.
