BAYO LAWAL, THE DEPUTY GOVERNOR, LIKE NO OTHER
Saki West PDP and the generality of the ever appreciative indigenes of the ancient city were jostled to the marrow on hearing the fantasies being displayed by a blogger under the acronym of SAKI FIRST.
On the first note, the said blogger is not the mouthpiece for the good people of Saki, and all the
horrendous things he has aired about His Excellency, the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Barrister Bayo Lawal, and by extension, the Oyo State administration, under the able leadership of Engineer Seyi Makinde only represent the figments of his imagination .
His Excellency, the Deputy . the only ACTING GOVERNOR in the annals of Oyo State civilian governance and also a Co-Pilot is spectacular , a dependable ally and not a window dressing or spare tyre.
Saki has witnessed tremendous developments under this administration in both OMITUNTUN 2.0 & 2.1 eras.
It should also be reiterated from the onset that Barrister Bayo Lawal is not a Deputy Governor for Oke Ogun but Oyo State in general, hence the spread of the appointment of Special Assistants to other zones in Oyo State and even beyond.
The interest and development of Oke Ogun was and is priotised by the Deputy Governor, hence the facilitation of key appointments into the administration from the Zone.
In particular, Saki has witnessed mammoth developments under the Administration of Governor Seyi Makinde, to which our ebullient Deputy Governor is a Co-Pilot. The administration completed the 9.3km dualised Saki Township road with street lights, a project that was abandoned by the previous administration after several private properties were demolished without compensation.
The present administration also upgraded the moribund OYSADEP into OYSADA with a view to improving agricultural yields and thus making food affordable.
Series of appointments in which hundreds of Saki and other Oke Ogun indigenes benefited from. It includes but is not limited to the followings:
1. Appointments of both teaching and non teaching staff into both primary and secondary schools, the majority of which have been short staffed for years.
2. Recruitment into Oyo State Civil Service and commuting Adhoc Staff in all local governments, including those from Oke Ogun to regular appointments.
3. Recruitment into OYTRIMA, FIRE SERVICE also benefited people from Saki,Oke Ogun, and the entire Oyo State.
4. Recruitment of Health Workers of different cadre and Nursing interns is also one project from which several qualified applicants were absorbed into the Oyo State workforce.
5. De escalation of communal friction during the Gbenpankan saga when the Deputy Governor was the Acting Governor of Oyo State. His meticulous handling of the incident led to the peaceful co- existence between the affected Fulani settlement and their Yoruba landlords to date
The list is endless.
It is, therefore , a great disservice and a manifestation of unbridled animosity to the person of His Excellency, the Deputy Governor, and the administration of Governor Seyi Makinde for a reasonable person to have the audacity to go on air and spill nonsense on the Deputy Governor in view of the great love and admiration the Administration has for Saki.
For an umpteenth time, it is to be stated with emphasis that the person who is stirring the present controversy is not speaking for Saki. He is on his own!
