The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of Nollywood actor and comedian Adesina Okiki, popularly known as Janmole.
His death was confirmed on Tuesday by veteran actor and National President of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Bolaji Amusan, widely known as Mr. Latin.
Announcing the sad development on his Facebook page, Mr. Latin described Janmole’s death as a painful loss to the entertainment industry.
He wrote, “May the soul of our departed colleague, Adesina Okiki Janmole, who tragically lost his life in an accident, rest in perfect peace.
“May God grant his family, friends, and colleagues the strength and comfort to bear this irreparable loss. He will be greatly missed. Amen.”
Tribune Online gathered that the actor’s death occurred barely a year after he survived a serious road accident, an incident that sparked concern among his fans, colleagues and well-wishers.
