NIGERIA'S NEW AMBASSADOR TO COTE D'IVOIRE ASSUMES OFFICE
Nigeria’s new Ambassador to Côte d’Ivoire, Ezenwa Nwaobiala, has officially assumed duty in Abidjan after presenting his Letters of Credence to President Alassane Ouattara.
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicates that the ceremony at the Ivorian Presidential Palace marks the start of Ambassador Nwaobiala’s diplomatic tour.
The envoy also conveyed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s goodwill message and reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to stronger bilateral ties.
President Ouattara welcomed the appointment and pledged deeper cooperation in regional integration, trade, and economic development.
Ambassador Nwaobiala told members of the Nigerian community that his mission would focus on advancing Nigeria’s interests while strengthening West African peace and prosperity.
Nigeria and Côte d’Ivoire, ECOWAS’ two largest economies, have continued to maintain strategic ties on trade, security and regional stability.
