OKE-OGUN YOUTHS BUSINESS AND LEADERSHIP SUMMIT: COL. GBENGA ADEGBOLA (RTD) DONATES ₦2 MILLION FOR YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
The Oke-Ogun Youths Business and Leadership Summit recorded a major milestone as retired military officer and renowned philanthropist, Col. Gbenga Adegbola, donated a whopping sum of ₦2 million towards youth empowerment and the development of future leaders across Oke-Ogun.
The donation, which was one of the highlights of the summit, underscored Col. Adegbola's unwavering commitment to the growth and advancement of young people in the region. Speaking during the event, the retired officer commended the organisers for conceptualising a programme aimed at equipping youths with the knowledge, skills, and leadership qualities needed to thrive in today's competitive world.
He urged the organisers to remain focused on the core objective of the summit by ensuring that the programme delivers meaningful and lasting impact on participants.

According to him, the survival and continuous progress of Oke-Ogun can largely be attributed to the industrious nature of its people.
> "The people of Oke-Ogun are naturally hardworking. One of the reasons we have continued to survive despite the limited government presence in our region is our resilience, determination, and commitment to hard work," he said.
He encouraged youths to embrace entrepreneurship, leadership development, and self-reliance while taking advantage of opportunities that can help them contribute meaningfully to society.
