President Bola Tinubu has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Minister of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy, Barrister Hannatu Musawa, following the passing of her mother, Hajiya Fatima Musa Musawa.
Hajiya Fatima Musawa died on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
In a statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu urged the minister to bear the loss with fortitude, noting that the death of a parent, especially a mother, is deeply painful, having experienced such a loss himself.
The President expressed sadness over the demise of Hajiya Musawa, coming only a few years after the death of the family's patriarch, Ambassador Musa Musawa.
President Tinubu condoled with Barrister Hannatu Musawa, her siblings, and the entire Musawa family, describing the deceased as a loving mother and a strong pillar of support whose presence and guidance will be greatly missed.
The President also prayed for the repose of her soul, asking Almighty Allah to grant Hajiya Fatima Musawa eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus and give the family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
