4TH BATCH OF 282 NIGERIAN RETURNEES FROM SOUTH AFRICA BACK HOME
Since the Federal Government began airlifting Nigerians
from South Africa in the wake of xenophobic attacks and renewed hostilities by various non-state actors, many Nigerians have taken advantage of the free evacuation to return home.
The latest batch of returnees arrived at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Lagos aboard an Air Peace flight. It is the largest single batch of returnees so far.
The 282 returnees were accompanied by two officials from the Nigerian Mission in South Africa.
Another batch of returnees is expected on Saturday.
