IBADAN, OYO STATE — The representative of the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, Moses Alake, alongside Senator Sarafadeen Alli, attended the swearing-in ceremony of retired Colonel Gbenga Adegbola as the Patron of the Tinubu Touch Bearers in Oyo State.

The event, which attracted prominent political figures, members of the All Progressives Congress (APC), community leaders and other dignitaries, was held at the historic Liberty Stadium in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The Minister of Women Affairs, who represented the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, was among the dignitaries at the occasion. The presence of the representatives added significance to the inauguration and highlighted the importance attached to the Tinubu Touch Bearers initiative.

As part of activities surrounding the event, the delegation also paid a courtesy visit to the former Governor of Oyo State, His Imperial Majesty Oba Rashidi Ladoja, further underscoring the political and traditional significance of the occasion.

A major highlight of the programme was the commissioning of the Tinubu Touch Bearers Oyo State Secretariat, which is expected to serve as a coordination centre for the organisation's activities across the state.

The inauguration brought together APC faithful from all 33 local government areas of Oyo State, who gathered to witness the formal installation of Col. Gbenga Adegbola as Patron of the group.

The occasion was also graced by people from different walks of life, including political stakeholders, traditional figures, party loyalists, community representatives, youth groups and other supporters.

The swearing-in of Col. Gbenga Adegbola marks another development in the activities of the Tinubu Touch Bearers in Oyo State as the organisation seeks to strengthen its structure and expand its presence across the state.
