Alhaji Sarafadeen Ahmed Omirinde, Hon. Ganiyu Taofeek Elege and Barr. Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli in Umrah
Alhaji Sarafadeen Ahmed Omirinde, the immediate past Chairman of Saki West Local Government; Hon. Ganiyu Taofeek Elege, Chairman of the Saki West Hallelujah Reformed Movement; and Barr. Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, have embarked on Umrah.
The trio are currently in the Holy Land, where they are observing the spiritual rites of Umrah and offering prayers for divine guidance, peace and the wellbeing of their families, communities and Oyo State.
Their journey also comes as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections. The APC in Oyo State formally unveiled Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli as its governorship candidate in September 2026.
During their pilgrimage, the group is expected to use the opportunity for prayers and spiritual reflection, seeking Allah's favour, wisdom, protection and guidance as the state approaches another important electoral cycle.
For Omirinde and Elege, the pilgrimage also provides an opportunity to pray for the people of Saki West and Oyo State, while Alli's presence comes at a period when the APC is preparing for the 2027 contest and calling for unity among its members.
The delegation's participation in Umrah highlights the intersection of faith, community and public service, with prayers centred on peace, prosperity, good governance and the overall wellbeing of the people of Oyo State.
Seeking Divine Favour Ahead of 2027.
As preparations for the 2027 elections continue, the pilgrims are expected to seek God's favour and guidance for themselves, their supporters and the people they represent.
Their message from the Holy Land is one of faith, unity and hope, with prayers for a peaceful political process and a prosperous future for Oyo State.
