APC WELCOMES MASS DEFECTION, PROMISES INTEGRATION OF NEW MEMBERS
The All Progressives Congress, APC, says it is ready to receive and integrate more than 10,000 members of various political parties into the party.
The Personal Private Secretary to the APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, Jibrin Bancir, stated this when he received executive members of the Maji Johnson Bello Movement at the party’s National Secretariat in Abuja.
Bancir said the decision by members of the Movement to join the APC demonstrates growing confidence in the party and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
He assured the incoming members of seamless integration into the party’s structures, beginning from the ward level, stressing that their grassroots mobilisation capacity would be put to good use.
The Chairman of the Maji Johnson Bello Movement, Maji Johnson Bello, said the decision to join the APC followed the Movement’s assessment of the economic reforms being implemented by President Tinubu.
Bello said the Movement would deploy its grassroots network to mobilise more Nigerians into the APC ahead of the 2027 general elections.
