NIGERIA JOINS GLOBAL FIRE/ EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT LEADERS TO STRENGTHEN COMMUNITY RESILIENCE
Nigeria joins global fire and emergency management leaders at the World Fire Congress in London to explore new approaches to strengthening community resilience and disaster management.
In a statement, the National Public Relations Officer of the Federal Fire Service, Paul Abraham, indicates that discussions at the Congress focused on the changing demands of disaster management and ways of strengthening emergency management systems.
Participants examined the full emergency management cycle, from planning and prevention to preparedness, response and recovery, with emphasis on adapting to emerging risks.
The Congress also provided an opportunity for participants to share experiences and explore areas for stronger international collaboration in disaster management.
