STAKEHOLDERS DELIBERATE TEN YEAR UBE ROADMAP
The Universal Basic Education Commission, UBEC, has commenced consultations with key stakeholders on the Basic Education Action Plan Management System and the development of a 10 year Roadmap for Universal Basic Education, covering 2026 to 2035.
The 10 year UBE Roadmap is expected to provide a strategic framework for addressing persistent challenges in the basic education sector, including access, quality of teaching and learning, infrastructure, teacher development, and effective utilisation of intervention funds.
The Basic Education Action Plan Management System is designed to coordinate and manage basic education action plans, while providing a structured approach to tracking projects and outcomes across all levels.
Stakeholders are expected to deliberate on implementation strategies and mechanisms for measuring progress, with a view to ensuring that the 2026–2035 roadmap translates into measurable improvements in learning outcomes and the quality of basic education nationwide.
