APC/PBAT PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN LABOUR DIRECTORATE: COL. GBENGA ADEGBOLA ENGAGES OKE-OGUN ARTISANS, NURTW AND PENGASSAN ON TINUBU'S 2027 RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN
As preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum, Col. Gbenga Adegbola (Rtd.), in his capacity within the APC/PBAT Presidential Campaign Labour Directorate, has commenced engagements with organised labour and professional groups across Oke-Ogun, Oyo State, ahead of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's re-election campaign.
Adegbola held extensive meetings with representatives of different groups, including artisans, the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), and the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN). He was accompanied by his political followers and associates.
During the meetings, Adegbola explained that the engagements were primarily intended to create awareness about the activities and responsibilities of the Presidential Campaign Labour Directorate and to establish communication with organised groups ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
He further explained that Oke-Ogun was deliberately chosen as the starting point of the engagement because of the importance of grassroots mobilisation and the need to reach different occupational and professional groups.
According to him, the assignment before the committee is national in scope and goes beyond Oyo State or any particular geopolitical zone.
He disclosed that the campaign committee would embark on a nationwide tour, engaging relevant labour organisations, professional associations, artisans and other stakeholders across the country as part of its activities towards the 2027 presidential election.
The meetings mark the commencement of Adegbola's engagement with organised groups in Oke-Ogun under the APC/PBAT Presidential Campaign Labour Directorate, with further consultations expected across other parts of Nigeria.
