In keeping with the timeless traditions of my heritage and as an illustrious son of the soil, on Friday, April 10, 2026, I had the distinct honour of being received in audience by the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I. This royal visit to the

I have always maintained that the royal institution is the bedrock of our collective identity and the fundamental root of our communal affairs. The stool of the Olubadan, in particular, remains an integral pillar for the maintenance of societal peace and the engineering of sustainable progress within Ibadanland and across the state. I continue to owe this exalted institution an incredibly high level of regard with a recognition that our traditional rulers are the primary architects of the stability that allows our political and social aspirations to flourish. An honour to the palace is unarguably an honour to the soul of the people, and I am committed to ensuring that the bridge between the traditional and the modern remains unshakable and respectful.
I think any serious-minded citizen of Ibadan would see a visit to the Olubadan as not just a ceremonial gesture but an intellectual and spiritual necessity. It is noteworthy that after every interaction with the Kabiyesi, I return more enriched and loaded with a deeper reservoir of wisdom and a broadened perspective on how to approach complex societal challenges. The palace remains a sanctuary of insights that no contemporary platform can replicate; it is a sacred space where the history of our fathers meets the strategy or even the vision we have for the future. I departed this visit with a clearer lens and a more profound sense of responsibility toward the collective journey we are undertaking for the betterment of our state.
More than before, I am committed to keep pushing for the path toward a more prosperous and structured Oyo State, and I see the blessings and counsel of the throne very indispensable to this cause. I am profoundly grateful for the audience granted by His Imperial Majesty and for the regal grace with which he continues to preside over the affairs of our sprawling city. My prayer is for the continued longevity and sound health of the Kabiyesi, that his reign may bring unprecedented peace and monumental development to Ibadanland and Oyo state. May the stool of our ancestors continue to be a source of strength and guidance as we labour together to build a society that honours its roots while embracing a glorious future.
