A formal inauguration of a specialised Train-the-Trainer Course on Weapon Handling has begun at the NDLEA Academy, Jos, Plateau State.
The initiative is driven by the changing dynamics of the war against drug trafficking in Nigeria.
The process, which began in 2023, has now reached its final stage, with thousands of procured arms and ammunition scheduled for imminent delivery.
A precise distribution and accountability plan has already been approved.
The development has been described as a critical milestone in the 36-year history of the NDLEA.
