The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has called on Nigerians to remain united and support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the nation's security agencies in the face of recent security challenges across the country.
In a statement, the Governor said Nigerians must not allow acts of terrorism and violence to weaken their resolve, stressing that the country's history of overcoming adversity should inspire confidence and hope.
He expressed sympathy with victims of recent attacks and called for prayers for the teachers and students abducted in Oyo State, while urging citizens to support security efforts through vigilance and intelligence sharing.
Governor Sanwo-Olu also urged Nigerians to reject divisive rhetoric and political differences, stressing that the fight against insecurity requires a collective national response regardless of ethnicity, religion or political affiliation.
He reaffirmed his confidence in President Tinubu's leadership and the ability of the armed forces and security agencies to defeat criminal elements, threatening national peace and stability.
Governor Sanwo-Olu maintained that with unity, resilience and collective action, Nigeria would overcome its security challenges and emerge stronger.
