FG & BORNO STATE GOV'T PUTTING MEASURES TO RESCUE 44 ABDUCTED MUSSA SCHOOLCHILDREN

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum says the Federal Government and Borno State Government are working closely to secure the safe rescue of the 44 schoolchildren abducted from Mussa Central Primary School in Askira/Uba Local Government Area.

Zulum stated this on Friday when he met with the parents of the abducted children at the Government House, Maiduguri. He expressed sympathy to the families and assured them of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s personal commitment to securing the children’s release.

The Governor notes that President Tinubu had directed security agencies to intensify efforts towards rescuing the children, assuring the parents that the Federal Government, Nigerian Armed Forces and Borno State Government would do everything possible to bring them home safely.

The meeting was attended by Senator Mohammed Ali Ndume, Acting Chief of Staff to the Governor, Dr Babagana Mustapha Mallumbe, and other senior government officials.
