Bullying Won’t Stop Us From Supporting Tinubu – Cubana Chief Priest

Cubana Chief Priest, the Nigerian socialite, says criticism of his support for President Bola Tinubu has strengthened his commitment to the president.

In a video posted on his Instagram page, the socialite said he remained loyal to Tinubu because of his role in transforming Lagos and the business opportunities the city offers.

“The more they bully us for supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the more dedicated we are to love him more. Nobody badder than that man,’ he said.

“We are with the best, the biggest, the man that created the Lagos that transformed all our lives. The most working active city in Africa, the centre of excellence.

“What has your candidate done that you want me to follow him. I am following the man that made it possible for us to have a business bay where we transformed millions into billions. Come on, I don’t have an investment in your state.

“My money is in Lagos, and I am betting on Lagos, and Lagos is Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. I don’t care how you think about it, I am protecting my investment. I am banking on Tinubu.”

Born Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, Okechukwu a former aide to Hope Uzodinma, Imo governor, has been an outspoken supporter of the current administration.

He formally declared his political ambition in late April 2026 after purchasing the APC’s expression of interest and nomination forms.

Despite failing to clinch the APC ticket for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East federal constituency in the house of representatives, Cubana dismissed claims that his loyalty to the party has been shaken.

Cubana had also disclosed that he voluntarily withdrew from the primary race after consultations with party leaders over zoning arrangements that did not favour his local government area.

However, during a Twitch live session with streamer Peller, he claimed Tinubu does not fully trust him because he once worked for Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 poll.
