In a bid to promote education and empower indigent students, Hon Tajudeen Abisodun Were has fulfilled annual scholarship programme for scores of
students in Saki West Local Government. This initiative aims to provide financial support to students in tertiary institutions, enabling them to pursue their academic dreams without financial burdens.
Citing the mpact on the ommunity, this scholarship programme will not only alleviate the financial burden on indigent students but also encourage academic excellence and promote education in the local government. By empowering these students, Hon Tajudeen Abisodun Were's initiative will contribute to the development of the community and the country at large.
This programme underscore the importance of education and the need for collective efforts to promote academic excellence.
While declaring the third year empowerment programme opened, Alh. Jimoh AbdKareem also known as Baba Salamakun, said that all praises was to Almighty Allah who had kept everyone safe to witness yet another phase of empowerment. He charged the beneficiaries to learn from Hon. Were as a good example so that they can help others too in future. He pray for their successes in their studies and for Hon Tajudeen Were who is their benefactor to realize his next political dreams of becoming a senator of the federal republic of Nigeria.
The programme which started like yesterday, the APC chairman of Saki-West Local Government, Mr Tajudeen OKUNLOLA asked the beneficiaries to have faith in God and that Hon. Were would do more when he became a senator.
In the same vein, Saki-East APC chairman Chief Salaudeen Akeem Temidire admonished the beneficiaries to work hard so as to excel in their studies in order to make their benefactor proud and to have reasons to do more. He said it was not just this empowerment of tertiary institution students, but, Hon Were is still paying WAEC AND JAMB FEES for many school children since he became federal representative in 2023.
Alhaji Sabitu Olofa, a very close ally and the representative of Hon Were on the programme, was grateful to God for everyone who took part in the take off of the programme three years ago and still being alive. He appreciated Hon Were for keeping to his promises. He reminisces on the experience of 2023 electioneering process before Were eventually emerged saying that it was not a easy task. He advised the beneficiaries to face their studies. He said before then , Hon Were had been empowering people with huge amount of money, motor cars, motorcycles and many other things but was not going to the press.
Finally, he said in the recent past, Hon Were had done more than any representative in Okeogun and Oyo State and that nothing any lousy politician can say to run him down concerning his empowerment programmes.
Alhaji Kazeem Aderibigbe Iwo led NURTW and ITV NEWS were empowered with 5.5M and 1M respectively.
