In accordance with the definitive electoral timetable and guidelines recently released by the National Secretariat of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), I stand at the threshold of a historic commitment. I wish to state, with absolute clarity and resolve, that I am fully prepared and ready to proceed with the purchase of the gubernatorial nomination and expression of interest forms. This step is a natural progression of my long-standing engagement with the grassroots and my dedication to the "Realistic Tomorrow" agenda. My engine is fully revved, and my resources are strategically aligned to fulfill every institutional requirement that ensures that our campaign remains the gold standard for preparedness and intent in the coming days.
I have always maintained that I am a democrat to the core, - one who subscribes to the belief that the strength of a political institution is found in its adherence to democratic procedures. I view internal consensus, open dialogue, and robust consultation not as alternatives to
competition, but as sophisticated democratic tools that sharpen our collective focus. While I am ready to traverse the length and breadth of our state to earn the mandate of our delegates, I remain a loyal party man who respects the institutional compass of our
leadership. Therefore, my actions remain consistent with the party’s directives, save for where the wisdom of our leaders dictates a different strategic path for the greater good of the progressive family.
History is as a brilliant teacher, and it has shown that the APC thrives when it navigates its wider political goals through mutual understanding and a harmonised vision among all stakeholders. I am a firm believer in the "big picture" of our party’s success. I am confident that as we approach 2027, the processes that define our eventual flag-bearer will reflect a blend of tactical brilliance and a deep-seated desire to field the most viable and intellectually grounded candidate, which I consider myself. Yet, I am engaging in this process with the maturity and grit, knowing that a unified house is an impenetrable fortress against any opposition.
