NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT FELICITATES WITH COLOMBIA'S PRESIDENT-ELECT, ABELARDO DE LA ESPRIELLA
The Federal Government has congratulated Abelardo de la Espriella on his election as President of Colombia.
A statement by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Ebienfa notes that Nigeria welcomes the democratic choice of the Colombian people and looks forward to working with the incoming administration ahead of its swearing-in on August 7th.
The statement further says that Nigeria and Colombia share a commitment to democracy, peace, and sustainable development.
It reaffirmed Nigeria’s readiness to further strengthen bilateral relations in areas of trade, investment, security, and South-South collaboration.
The statement also wished the President-Elect, Abelardo de la Espriella, success in advancing the progress and prosperity of the Colombian people.
